hwhg.gifTamara over at traininghearts http://www.traininghearts.com/blog// has the biggest heart ever and loves to give away things. This give away is something big! I hope to win but if not, congratulations on the lucky lady who gets this! Check it out.

I am not going to write a paragraph or even write a statment to win. I would rather quote two scriptures from the bible I found that touched my heart. God is really opening my eyes these last few days on this special word (friendship) with some things my family and I are dealing with. Here are the two scriptures I picked out.

Proverbs 17:17 A friend loves at all times,And a brother is born for adversity.

Proverbs 18:24 A man who has friends must himself be friendly, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.

Can to much exercise be bad for you? July 9, 2007

This is the book I am currently reading and almost done with. This book is packed with so much information that is vital to our health that I highly recommend this. If you want to know about it, it is probably in this book. Anyway, a piece of what I was intrigued on today was this……(written from the book)

Dr. Kenneth Cooper, the father of aerobic exercise who founded the world-famous Cooper Clinic in Dallas, discovered that some marathon runners were developing brain cancer. The finding presented a dilemma. Long-distance runners were considered to be extremely healthy, with practically no body fat. How could it be that these athletes could develop brain cancer? Here’s what was found. Exercise releases free radicals. the harder you exercise, the more you release large amount of free radicals. If they are not quenched with antioxidants, they may cause destruction of cells, tissues, nuclear material and DNA-and they may form cancer. Recent research has linked free-radical activity to cardiovascular disease, many forms of cancers and cataracts.

Just some food for thought. I certainly learned something today. Take your vitamins and plenty of them if you exercise.

It has been one of those weeks to say the least. I did not do very well on my first week of Weight Watchers. I think the first week is always the worst for me because I am just getting used to the idea of having to be more disciplined and change. I will find out tomorrow if I actually lost. I am not going to get my hopes up but I don’t want to beat myself up about it either. This is only the first week and it has been a cruddy week at that with my emotions being the reason for popping open that soda and having hubby run to the store for that ice cream. I am going to do as Jesus would do though and dust off my feet and start new this coming up week. I hope to have a better week and hope that I will have a better attitude about situations that are going on with our family. We have had some attacks on our family this week which is the consequence we get for living in this unfair and cruel world. I am trying to keep my eyes and this situation focused on God and His ways because it is so easy for those bad worldly thoughts to creep up in my head and plant things that should not be there. If I can say anything about what has happened, it is that God has shown me and my family alot. Put not your trust in man but in God. We can trust no-one. Not even family. Not even ourself!

Micah 7:5-6  Do not trust in a friend;Do not put your confidence in a companion;Guard the doors of your mouth from her who lies in your bosom. For son dishonors father, daughter rises against her mother, daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law, A man’s enemies are the men of his own household.

I learned in my bible study lesson this week that everything in life whether it is life or death, wealth or being poor, it is all held in the hands of God’s to do with as He wills. This is all in his hands to deal with and do as he wishes. All anyone can do is pray and keep a positive attitude that there is a reason for everything. As hard as this is for me to accept because I am angry and saddened at the same time, I have to have faith. Faith only in God that there is a reason for everything. I have to just go on with my life with God on my side and be there for my family and live life to the fullest. God has allowed this attack on our family and I may never know why but I do know that there is a reason for it. Nothing goes unseen or unheard by God. He is over us all at every hour and every minute watching our every move. He knows the truth even when I don’t but that is ok. I will go about my day as normal and still continue to be the God fearing mother and wife I try to be. I will learn from this and grow from this and thank God for allowing this to happen even though I don’t understand. Please be praying for our family with this family situation that is going on.
